The project creates a space of interaction between the city and the river, humans and nature. A single roof organizes space for people, watercraft, animals, and plants. The shared roof is accessible to all and provides shelter for everyone. This strengthens the identity of the place and the local community's ties with the water. The facility is a contemporary interpretation of a park pavilion. Submerged in greenery, it allows for free interaction and integration of the urban environment with the Vistula riverbank areas. It serves as a link between the city, divided by Solec Street, and the river. The designed architecture, with its scale and form, does not dominate but creates a natural extension of the surroundings. It fits into the topography of the terrain, which is essential for the waterfront areas that protect the city from flooding. In rowing, rhythm is crucial. The perfect sense of timing, coordination of the crew, and the repeatability of movement allow for cutting through the water almost effortlessly – gliding. The new building's architecture will be perceived at different speeds by different observers. A car driver, cyclist, pedestrian, or rower – each will have a different perception. The rhythm of the exposed wooden structure, inspired by the rhythm of the flowing eight, makes the building's experience variable with speed. The roof, supported at points and slightly suspended, creates the impression of freely floating above the surface. It is located where, before the war, the Rowing Club "Syrena" had its headquarters.
